About

1. What is Indie Hacker Kit?

Indie Hacker Kit is a carefully curated collection of website-building tools and tutorials designed for independent developers and early-stage entrepreneurs. The tools are broadly categorized into development, design, product marketing, and SEO analysis tools. This one-stop solution helps you quickly build an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) toolchain, allowing you to understand the tools, improve development and marketing efficiency, and ultimately monetize your self-developed products. Each tool will be described based on the following points:

  • Introduction: An initial introduction of the tool, outlining its core functions, usage scenarios, etc.
  • Tutorial: Each tool has been personally and thoroughly explored, experienced, and practiced in projects. The tutorial combines the experiences of various developers, summarizing a learning path for beginners, providing related video tutorials, and links to various developers' open-source projects.
  • Pros and Cons: Each tool's advantages and disadvantages will be outlined, providing a comparative reference for choosing the right tool based on functionality and other factors.
  • Blog: Reviews of tools based on similar functionalities, prices, and service plans will be posted as high-quality content on the blog, enhancing your understanding and usage of the tools.

2. Why did I create Indie Hacker Kit?

The reason is simple: I want every novice who wants to step into the Indie Hacker field to quickly build their site!

As a novice Indie Hacker, when I first started, I was overwhelmed by various development frameworks, marketing methods, and SEO knowledge. I couldn't fully understand the pros and cons of each tool, which led me to take many detours and waste a lot of time on selecting development frameworks, confirming login and payment solutions, resulting in very low efficiency. Since we choose to incubate products from 0 to 1 as Indie Hackers, learning promotion methods, and operating for profit, we need a comprehensive one-stop introduction to various tools, their functionalities, pros and cons, or tutorials. Hence, Indie Hacker Kit was born to lower the entry barrier for Indie Hackers, help quickly incubate products, improve work efficiency, and achieve profitability!

3. How does Indie Hacker Kit make money?

Currently, there are no paid projects on the site. Our way of making money aims to provide readers with the highest quality browsing and reading experience. Getting the most useful information is the most valuable. Here are the site’s future monetization plans:

  • Affiliate Marketing: Some paid tools introduced on this site will have affiliate links. When you purchase tools through these links, this site will earn a commission. If you dislike this model, you can search for the tool’s official website to purchase.
  • Google and Facebook Ads: Ads may be placed at the top and bottom of the web pages. To ensure the site can be maintained permanently and provide a good reader experience, we decided not to place ads on the sides of the web pages.

4. Is Indie Hacker Kit open source, and what is the tech stack?

The site is not considering open-sourcing for now, as it is a product of self-learning front and back-end development, tool collection, development, and summarization.

The specific tech stack is as follows. If you encounter related issues with the following tech stack, you can follow me on Twitter to discuss:
